Annual Symposium

The 2026 UQ–IITD Research Academy Annual Symposium ‘Global Challenges, Joint Solutions: Australia–India Multidisciplinary Pathways Forward’ will bring together The University of Queensland (UQ) and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) academics, PhD students, industry partners, and government representatives to exchange knowledge, explore collaboration, and drive impactful innovation between Australia and India.

The three-day symposium will focus on academia-industry engagement to explore and strengthen the Academy’s collaborative initiatives. The symposium will be hosted in-person only.

This symposium aims to:

  • Facilitate collaborative research initiatives between both institutions, government, and industry partners to foster global impact.
  • Promote engagement through keynote talks, grant opportunities, interactive panel sessions, and networking opportunities.
  • Encourage interdisciplinary dialogue and innovation across the Academy’s research themes through entrepreneurship and technology transfer workshops and knowledge exchange opportunities to co-create solutions.
  • Showcase research excellence through thematic sessions, collaborative project presentations, and a Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition.
