About Anish
Anish was born and raised in Kolkata, and graduated with Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, where he received a gold medal in order of merit. He has worked as an intern at M N Dastur & Co (P) Ltd and Indian Railways (NE Division). He was awarded his master’s degree in Construction Technology and Management by the National Institute of Technology Warangal. His master’s thesis was focused on durability assessment of concrete under exposure to a chemical environment using digital image processing.
His research interests are in novel materials, sustainability, innovative solutions in civil engineering, concrete technology, durability and resilience studies.

Studying the impact of technological change on the resilience of buildings
Novel materials and systems are being introduced into the built environment at an increasing rate. These often result in unforeseen consequences in the event of accidents, impacting on resilience of buildings. This project identifies the contribution of novel materials to building resilience.
