Ami Sharma

I hold an M.Tech in Environmental Engineering from NIT Warangal and conducted a year-long research internship at CSIR-IICT Hyderabad, where I worked on bioenergy generation through microbial fuel cells (MFCs) and the recovery of value-added products from waste streams. This work culminated in a first-author publication in the Royal Society of Chemistry. I’m deeply interested in using science for real-world impact, and my journey has often brought me to spaces beyond the lab — from addressing the Central Hall of Parliament to serving as Speaker of the House at the National Environment Youth Parliament 2022. As the founding president of SIPAA and a volunteer with PSG, I remain actively engaged in social causes. I’m passionate about exploring the intersection of sustainability, impact-driven research, and community engagement in my academic journey.
